6 Destinations To Charter This Summer

Posted by Ashley Wright

With so many travel restrictions in place this past year, you may have been itching for a getaway. Many destinations have lifted restraints, offering more options for people to travel. If you plan on chartering a yacht this summer but you have not been able to choose a location, check out our six destination recommendations to charter your yacht this summer!

1. Cabrera Islands, Spain

Breathtaking Cabrera is known not only for its warm summer weather, but also for its unique nature and marine ecosystem. Your yacht will probably end up docking at Porto de Cabrera, then you have many options to choose from to explore. Stop by Cape Llebeig’s lighthouse or visit the “blue cave” (Cova Blava) for an exceptional travel experience! You can also go on a diving adventure or learn some artifacts from the history museum!

2. Stockholm, Archipelago, Sweden

Composed of tens of thousands of islands, the possibilities for fun are endless in this picturesque destination. If you want to stay on land, you can enjoy a traditional Swedish meal, go on a hike, visit the local art shops, and more. Prefer to continue your journey across the sea? Take a private sailing tour or go kayaking along the island of your choice. While nearly every location here is special, one tourist favorite is Grinda, known as the “bathing paradise” of Stockholm due to its blissful nature.

3. Tinos, Greece

Although it’s hard to find a location in Greece that isn’t captivating, Tinos is highly recommended for travelers not afraid of surprises. From pilgrims lining the roads during the Assumption of Mary in August to unforgettable festivals with memorable food and dancing, traveling to Tinos is a must.

Here you’ll find that the arts are highly valued and ancient traditions are still going strong. Not to mention, the beaches are phenomenal. The Kolybithra beach even offers surfing lessons, weather permitting. This is definitely on my bucket list!

4. Norway

If you’d prefer a sunny getaway opposed to viewing the Northern Lights between October and March, then the summer is the perfect time to go yachting in the Scandinavian country of Norway. One distinctive factor about this location is that, in northern Norway, the sun shines for 24 hours a day! Although you may feel tired from all of the adventures, the sun will beg you to keep exploring.

From the beautiful Bergen attractions to the endless outdoor activities, you will hardly get bored. You can learn about the culture, visit amazing attractions, such as the Edvard Grieg Museum, rent a fjord, and much more! The photo opportunities are infinite, so make sure you have plenty of film or storage space on your device.

5. Indonesia

A relatively recent popular travel destination, Indonesia is such an extraordinary location to visit. With about 17,000 diverse islands, Indonesia is truly paradise. It has picked up recognition in recent years for its dive sites, rainforests, and the warm Bali ambiance. The Raja Ampat Islands are common and admired for charter vacations.

6. Dubrovnik, Croatia

One of the most exceptional yacht charter destinations in the Mediterranean, Dubrovnik’s photos do not do it justice. One reason why it attracts tourists in the warmer months is due to their Dubrovnik Summer Festival, known for its plays, music, and more. It also offers a wide variety of activities, like cafés, nightclubs, and flamboyant markets. The views are unbelievably beautiful, and each piece of architecture tells a story.
