5 Most Expensive Champagnes in the World

One of the most relaxing parts of yatching is indulging in all that your heart desires. For some, it could be a simple request of a dish free from onions (sorry, not sorry, Adam); for others, it could be a refreshing supply of the most luxurious champagne.

 

We're not talking about just any old champagne - we're talking about the exclusive, exceptionally rare bottles. If you're going to travel in luxury, you might as well have a classy bottle of bubbly to enjoy along the way. We'll keep this shot and sweet, so you can get to sipping - here is our list of the 5 most expensive champagnes in the world!

5. 1820 Juglar Cuvee - $43,500

From the archipelago of Åaland, this ancient champagne bottle is presumably priced at $43,500 due to its age and the fact that it was found in a sunken ship enveloped in barnacles. The rarity is part of the appeal, as it is now typically only found at auctions.

Not only does the gold-plated bottle look stunning, but its contents are also exquisite. With coppery light pink, amber, and gold tones, this champagne is known to have hints of dark fruit flavors. This vintage rosé has Good luck finding it – only 36 bottles were produced!

One of rapper Jay-Z’s brand of champagnes, this bottle is often called the “Ace of Spades” due to its logo. Needless to say, this is popular among celebrities. However, you don’t have to be an A-lister to enjoy a bottle of this delicious bubbly – maybe just a millionaire.

Jay-Z took the saying, “if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it” to a whole new level. When his 2011 bottle turned out to be successful, he created this 40+ pound, 4-foot bottle of champagne. The shiny pink bottle looks extremely extravagant, and it tastes just as great.

Last, but not least, the most expensive champagne in the world is the 2013 Taste of Diamonds. If the American Express Black Card was a bottle of champagne, it would be this one. Composed of Grand Cru Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, it’s a refreshing light, floral drink. Crafted by Alexander Amosu, its logo is handcrafted from 18-carat solid gold with a white cut diamond in the center.
